How my life changed forever.
February 2019 my life was changed forever when I experienced severe anxiety and panic attacks. I thought that I was having a heart attack. I literally thought that I was dying, because this was not “my normal”.
My mother called 911, she was hysterical and so was I. It was truly a real mess, to say the least!
To make a long story short, I arrived at the hospital and was told that I was fine and that I was just having a panic attack. This was very new to me and I could not believe that having a panic attack could feel so darn awful!
Any underlying health issues were ruled out, which was a huge sense of relief.
So now I’m thinking, what on earth is going on with me? No one said that I could possibly be going through perimenopause or anything! At that time I had no clue why I was having panic attacks. Then I thought about what could have brought these symptoms on.
About several years before the onset of these panic attacks, most of those years were extremely stressful. So I guess you can say that those stressful years contributed to me having severe episodes of these attacks. When you are entering into the beginning stages of perimenopause, any type of stress will be worsened.
This change has really opened my eyes to my health, especially between the ages of thirty-five and fifty. Not only can stress alone kill, but it can also be ten times worse in perimenopausal women.
Having heart palpitations, dizziness, nausea, hot flashes, internal tremors, an extreme sense of fear are some of the most common symptoms of anxiety or panic attacks, and I experienced ALL of them.
I chose to write about perimenopause panic attacks because it is crucial that women take care of their mental health, especially during this transition.
Hope is closer than you think.

This is more of a personal approach for women to feel that they are not alone in this transition into menopause. I want you to feel a sense of calm when you visit my website. Unfortunately, anxiety or panic attacks fall in the top three main symptoms that women experience during this time, but guess what? You don’t have to suffer. There are solutions to these horrible feelings.
I’m very passionate about it because I’m still in the beginning stages of this transition, called perimenopause.
Your sense of peace and calm is important as a mother, a sister, a friend, a wife, etc. Without that, you can’t function properly. Here I will suggest natural remedies and certain breathing exercises to help you get through it because it won’t last forever.

So many women believe that they are doomed once menopausal anxiety kicks in, I’m a believer and know that it is possible to feel better.
